AbstractA Fault Isolation and Monitoring System (FIMS) for analysis of the quality of data streams transmitted between TDRSS and NASA’s Network Control Center has been completed and installed (Version 1) in the NASA White Sands Ground Terminal. Due to the demands on the system’s central computer, it was decided that as much of the operator interaction as possible should be handled by the intelligent terminal serving as the operations control console. This paper describes the methods and protocol used to implement the operator support software required to configure the monitoring system and to display and report the results of the analysis.
