Abstract:
An in depth analysis of the equipment needed for a Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) receiving station is presented. In addition to a systems level approach to the equipment needed, a detailed circuit design and description of four of the components needed for this receiving station is presented. These four components are the I.F. Amplifier, Demodulator, Bit Synchronizer and Computer Interface Card.
