Abstract:
B/E Aerospace currently desires an improved mechanism of controlling seat adjustment in super first class suites. This document details the design and construction of a prototype human interface device that will function as a digital passenger control unit. The design includes a touchscreen that is deployed and stowed within the armrest. The touchscreen, along with various buttons, provides all of the necessary controls for a passenger to manipulate seat features. The design contents of this document are separated into three major subsystems: mechanical, electrical, and software.
